My stay at the hotel started off on a rough note, dealing with quite a bit of noise coming from the bar next door, which really interrupted my need for rest. However, I did find the setting along the St. Johns River to be stunning, and the beauty of the grounds is truly remarkable. While the restaurant staff were lovely and helped make the best of the situation, the limited breakfast hours were quite inconvenient. Improvements in sound insulation and restaurant hours could significantly enhance the experience.

The room I stayed in was extremely clean, featuring a king size bed and a queen sleeper sofa. However, it felt a bit outdated and could definitely benefit from a cosmetic upgrade.
Service

While the restaurant staff were very kind and accommodating, I felt that there was a lack of on-site assistance for handling noise issues, which was a big downside for me.

The hotel is beautifully set along the St. Johns River, with well-maintained grounds that offer picturesque views. It's a great escape, but tucked away in a residential area, which contributed to the noise problems.
Dining
6.0
Breakfast is only served for an hour, which is not ideal, and the dinner options aren't available on weekends. However, the dining space is nice, and the food was enjoyable when available.
Facilities

The hotel has lovely grounds with beautiful landscaping and even offers two pools. Yet, the overall facilities could use better management, especially during high-demand times.

My stay at this hotel had its ups and downs. The Old Florida charm and the historic architecture were truly delightful. However, the noise from nearby events, particularly weddings, was disruptive and ruined my sleep. Overall, it’s a beautiful place with great potential, but it's important to check if there's a wedding event during your stay.

The River Front Suites offered a lot of space and came with a lovely view of the water, especially at sunrise. However, they had a dated quality that could use some updating.
Service

The service was generally friendly and accommodating. They even showed us other riverfront rooms which was thoughtful. Still, they were unable to manage the noise from events effectively.

The hotel is nestled right on the St. Johns River, which adds a romantic edge to the atmosphere. The grounds are well kept and provide a peaceful sanctuary.
Dining

The dining options were decent, but breakfast was quite hit or miss. One morning there were no seats available, and another had limited options left.
Facilities

Facilities seemed well-maintained with good recreational options, but I did not get to fully enjoy them due to noise disturbances from events.

While the hotel is set in a beautiful location and features charming historic character, my experience was marred by noise disturbances and outdated room conditions. The staff was friendly, but noise issues were not adequately addressed. The dining experience had potential but could benefit from extended hours. Overall, there's promise here, but there are clear areas needing improvement for a better stay.

The hotel's location along the St. Johns River provides a picturesque view, making it a lovely setting despite the noise challenges I faced from nearby facilities.

While beautifully landscaped, the hotel needs to address noise insulation for a comfortable experience. The grounds are stunning but did not provide the serene retreat I hoped for.

This hotel offers a picturesque experience with stunning views of the St. John's River and beautifully landscaped grounds. The rooms are spacious and unique, enhancing your stay. While the service is friendly and accommodating, the dining options could use some improvement, particularly regarding the carryout meals. Overall, it’s a charming spot worth a visit, especially if you appreciate historic character.

The hotel boasts a stunning setting along the St. Johns River, making it a picturesque retreat. The staff went out of their way to provide compassionate service during a challenging time, which I truly appreciated. However, the noisy environment, especially from the bar next door, made it difficult to relax. The dining options could be improved as well, particularly the limited hours for meals.

I stayed in the Mediterranean suite, which had a charming historical touch with creaky wooden floors and full-opening windows that framed a lovely view of the river at sunrise.
Service

The staff were remarkably supportive and helpful, especially considering the circumstances of my stay. However, I encountered some less-than-perfect interactions with certain members, such as a rather rude waitress.
Location

The setting is stunning, right along the St. Johns River with beautiful live oaks and landscaped grounds that truly create a relaxing oasis.
Dining

The dining experience was lackluster, with limited breakfast hours and a dinner that was nice but not exceptional. The main restaurant had potential, but it missed the mark during my stay.
Facilities
6.0
The amenities were decent but could be improved, especially with noise management and offering more dining flexibility for guests.
